Connecting with Athletes
Connect athletes by share link, email invitation, personal code, or public coaching request.
Open Coaching → Athletes and select Invite Athlete. Coach Watts supports several onboarding paths so you can use the right one for an existing user, a specific prospect, or a wider community.
Choose a connection method

Coach-generated share and email invitations expire after seven days. Create a new invitation if the old one expires.
Create a share link
- Go to Coaching → Athletes.
- Select Invite Athlete, then Share Link.
- Select Create Share Link.
- Copy the URL, copy the code, or open the QR-code view.
- Share it with prospective athletes.
The link is not restricted to one email address. Revoke it from Pending Invitations when you no longer want it to be usable.
Invite one athlete by email
- Select Invite Athlete → Invite by Email.
- Enter the athlete's email address.
- Select Send Invitation.
Only the invited email address can accept a restricted invitation. If email delivery fails, the invitation is automatically revoked rather than left active.
Connect with an athlete's code
Use Connect by Code when an existing athlete has generated a personal Invite a Coach code:
- Ask the athlete for their active code.
- Enter it in Invite Athlete → Connect by Code.
- Select Connect Athlete.
This creates the direct coach–athlete relationship immediately when the code is valid.
After an athlete joins
The athlete appears in My Athletes, the strategic overview, and the coach calendar. Open their card to review coach-visible performance and schedule information.
Athletes remain in control of direct coach access and can remove a coach from Coaching → Team → My Coaches.
